Kirk AllenThe Ascension At Home president is a familiar face to many associates. Most recently, he was the president and chief operating officer of Ambulatory Healthcare Network for St. Vincent’s Health System in Birmingham, Alabama.

I started my career working in home health and delivering care,” said Kirk Allen, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from The University of South Alabama in Mobile and a Master of Science in Health Administration from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. “I understand the struggle and the challenge. I also know the value of the services we offer."

Darcy Burthay, Managing Director Home Health Services, Ascension Health

Darcy BurthayBefore she assumed her current position, Darcy served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer for St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. In that leadership role she was responsible for more than 1,500 nurses serving in various positions. While at St. Vincent, she led the Ministry to Magnet designation and through verification of a Level II trauma center by the American College of Surgeons. She also worked closely with Orbis and Marian University to develop Marian University for St. Vincent.

Prior to her six years at St. Vincent, Darcy was President and Chief Operating Officer for three years at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo, Indiana, which is part of St. Vincent Health and Ascension Health. Over a 25-year tenure at the hospital, she served in a number of other hospital and home health leadership positions. She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the American College of Health Executives and Executive Women in Healthcare.
